Over the course of two thrilling days, Rumbling Hearts hosted the inaugural Miss Motor-Rox Pinup competition.
Organising the Pinup competition in Darwin has been a longtime goal of mine.
It was the perfect blend; hot rods, muscle cars, motorbikes, and topping the
show off our fantastic pinups.
All our amazing Pinups performed brilliantly flaunting their passion for Modern Vintage Rockabilly. It takes a huge amount of courage to parade, place yourself in the spotlight for all to see.
I was overjoyed watching these stunning and incredibly brave women walk into Miss Motor-Rox. I watched their confidence grow as they put themselves out there, pushing boundaries way beyond their comfort zone.
I am in awe of these women, the time taken with makeup, hair, the clothes, and not to mention the expense.
Every lady looked beautiful, they shone from within. And, the wonderful thing to see, how they built up each other's confidence to perform at their best. What an honor and privilege to experience.
Day 1, we introduced our Pinups, gaining an insight into their best loved vintage style and favorite vehicles. Our pinups enjoyed parading through the crowds, interacting, showing off, and taking the opportunity to get some gorgeous pictures with the various amazing classic vehicles on display.
Day 2, with help from our independent judges, and thanks to the sponsors Hunt and Hunt Lawyers, we crowned our very first Miss Motor-Rox.
